Who we are

CARWIZ Rent a Car is more than just a car rental brand — it’s a symbol of premium service, affordability, and a little bit of magic. We’ve transformed traditional car rental experiences by blending operational excellence with a unique brand identity that customers around the world trust and love.

In our first 18 months of business, we grew from a modest three locations to thirteen, delivering over 40,000 rentals in 2018 alone — an astounding 150% growth from the previous year. This rapid acceleration proved our concept: there’s global demand for a smarter, friendlier, and more personalized car rental experience.

Going Global

In 2019, we took our next big leap — expanding internationally through a robust and innovative franchise model. By 2020, CARWIZ had built a presence in 30 countries, a milestone that laid the foundation for a thriving global network.

Today, CARWIZ operates across five continents, with more than 450 active locations in over 57 countries — and counting. From Europe to the Americas, Africa to the Gulf, and the Pacific to the Caribbean, our brand continues to grow, adapting to each market while maintaining our signature standards of quality and care.

Our Story

Founded in 2017, CARWIZ launched in Croatia with three corporate branches and an ambitious vision for the future. Within just a year, we had become a respected local brand, recognized for delivering on both service and innovation. Our growth outpaced expectations, both in revenue and in customer loyalty.

In 2018, we introduced our franchise business model at the World Travel Market in London — becoming the first Croatian rent-a-car brand to export its success internationally. We quickly secured franchise partnerships across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

By the end of 2019, CARWIZ had landed in the United States — a major milestone that was followed by rapid expansion into markets like New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, and the Dominican Republic.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, our brand remained resilient. By 2023, CARWIZ was thriving, having entered the Australian market and expanding further into the Gulf countries. Our strategic roadmap led to a strong presence in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with continued expansion into North Africa and deeper into Europe underway.
