WizTalk Conference 2025 once again brought the global CARWIZ family together, this time in the heart of Sarajevo. Partners and guests from across the world gathered to exchange ideas, celebrate achievements, and shape the future.
The event opened with a Cocktail Reception, where attendees connected in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, setting the tone for the days ahead. From the very beginning, it was clear that this year’s conference would be one to remember.
The WizTalk 2025 conference officially started with a warm welcome from our CEO & Founder, Krešimir Dobrilović. In the first part of the conference, Mark Slater (Senior Commercial Director, Ground Transportation, Booking.com), Marko Kalac (Project Manager for Renteon Car Rental Solution at VIP-DATA d.o.o., where he leads the development and optimization of rental platform technology that supports leading brands like CARWIZ), Alen Jambrišak (Sales Director at CARWIZ Rent a Car Croatia, who is driving growth and customer satisfaction through innovative sales strategies and market insights), and Slaven Žabo (Director of the Commercial Division at Croatia Airlines, who brings a wealth of experience in aviation, overseeing product development, pricing strategy, and marketing while drawing on his strong background in ground operations and airline systems) shared their insights.
A special moment of the day was the signing of a new contract between Krešimir Dobrilović and Jasmin Bajić, President & CEO of Croatia Airlines, marking an important step in strengthening the partnership between CARWIZ International and Croatia Airlines.
The second part of the conference continued with a presentation by Thomas Zieher, COO of CARWIZ International, who brings nearly 30 years of expertise in the car rental and mobility industry, offering valuable insights into global sales, franchise development, and international market expansion.
The “Looking Ahead” Brokers Panel, moderated by experts from Expedia, Booking.com, and CarTrawler, opened new perspectives on the evolving market. This was followed by presentations from Kenneth Pohl (CEO of Movitronic, an innovative founder and leader in vehicle-sharing technology, who has already achieved successful business exits while pursuing his passion for motorsport), Jeff Jones (Senior Director of Sales, Zubie, with over 20 years of experience in operations, business development, and revenue growth solutions, whose passion for strong leadership and building impactful partnerships makes him the perfect voice to join our speaker lineup), and Dave Russell (Sales Director at Sharebox, who brings over 25 years of experience in mobility transformation, combining innovation, data analytics, and AI to deliver sustainable growth and operational excellence).
An evening of celebration followed at the Gala Dinner and Wizy Awards Ceremony. This year’s awards honored the dedication, innovation, and results of CARWIZ partners worldwide. Italy was recognized as Best New Franchise, Georgia for Best Promotion, and Adriano Scarpati of CARWIZ Italy was named Brand Ambassador. Miami took the award for Best Affiliate, while the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia were honored as Best S, Best M, and Best L Franchise, respectively. The Grand Prix, the highest recognition of the evening, was awarded to Hungary.
The conference concluded with a Working Breakfast, where partners and managers reflected on the sessions, shared feedback, and set goals for the year ahead.
