Taking Travel to New Heights: Carwiz International and Croatia Airlines Lead the Way
Croatia Airlines, domestic and international passenger and cargo company flying to destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, and CARWIZ International, the fastest-growing franchised rent-a-car company in the world, have signed a contract to expand their business cooperation through the FLY&DRIVE project. The contract was signed in the cockpit of an Airbus aircraft at Croatia Airlines' Technical Centre at Zagreb International Airport. On this occasion, five branded hybrid cars were parked next to the plane, which CARWIZ International makes available to Croatia Airlines' operational services at airports in Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik through the FLY&DRIVE project — putting Carwiz brand visibility at the sights of every airline passenger in Croatia.
FLY&DRIVE is a joint service of Croatia Airlines and Carwiz International, under which passengers who use the services of both companies receive a 15% discount on plane tickets and car rental services by using a specially created code. The service is available in Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Romania, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina and will soon be available in more European markets.
FLY&DRIVE was launched last year and achieved significant growth in service reservations in just a few months. The two companies are working together, following the latest market trends, to develop an export tourism product, responding to travellers' demand for innovations and additional services, and ultimately contributing to the overall growth of tourism and transportation.
Slaven Žabo, the director of commercial affairs at Croatia Airlines, said at the contract signing today: "Expanding our business cooperation with CARWIZ International is an upgrade to the successful joint FLY&DRIVE project through which, using synergistic effects, we created a recognizable tourism product and created additional market demand. One of the key steps for even greater availability and recognition of the product is targeted promotion. With this contract, we are strengthening that important segment of the strategic partnership while allowing even better mobility for our operational services in the three busiest Croatian airports. Thus, as the national airline, Croatia Airlines continues to confirm its strategic importance and its role in the development of Croatian tourism and the economy in general."
