- Deposits go from 300CAD to 1000CAD depending on the renters qualifications. (Insurance, credit card, age, lenght of rental, type of vehicle, state issued DL, and more)
- GEOGRAPHIC
- Rental Restrictions
Rates with unlimited mileage are only available for travel within British Columbia. If traveling in Alberta, State of Washington, and Oregon a 29.95 CAD plus tax surcharge will apply per day. Travel to or within any other state is strictly prohibited. Customers driving within other provinces and/or states will be charged 0.75 Cents extra km for every km driven during the rental. Customers that fail to inform us for the need to take the car out of state provinces will be charged a fine of 200 CAD plus the additional mileage allowance. Please note all our vehicles are tracked.
- INSURANCE
- Please bring proof of insurance valid in North Carolina, as liability insurance is required when driving in the state. A Declarations Page with the insurance company name and a policy number valid for at least three months at the time of rental is required, and the insurance must be issued by one of the following U.S. or Canadian companies: State Farm, GEICO, Progressive, Allstate, USAA, Amica, Liberty Mutual, Aviva Canada, State Farm Mutual, or Wawanesa Mutual of Canada; otherwise, you must purchase insurance at the counter. If you rely on credit card insurance or coverage purchased online, you must purchase Liability Insurance at the counter, and you will be responsible to Hpower NC for any damages or replacement of the vehicle prior to departure, with reimbursement to be sought from your provider afterward. A security deposit of up to $500 CAD may be held for up to 10 business days after the vehicle is returned with no damage, and a police report is required for any accident for insurance to apply. Available coverage options include Third Party Liability Coverage for $8.95 per day providing up to $3,000,000 in coverage for bodily injury, property damage, and personal injury to third parties; Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with a $1,000 deductible for $29.95 per day, waiving the renter’s financial responsibility for collision-related damage; Collision Damage Waiver with a reduced $500 deductible plus Third Party Liability for $39.95 per day; Full Coverage with zero deductible for $49.95 per day offering complete protection with no out-of-pocket costs for covered damage; and Wheels, Tires, Windshield and Undercarriage Protection for $14.95 per day covering damage to these commonly exposed components.
- NO-SHOWS
- If you are more than 60 minutes late to pick up your vehicle, the rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers. Past that time you may be subject to availability in regards to vehicle category if any. If the category available is greater than the one you reserved, you will have to pay the upgrade fee if you wish to take the reservation. No refunds are guarranteed by HCH NC INV GROUP, you must contacted the third party website you used to book your rental.

Carwiz Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment.
- PAYMENT
- Cards must be in renter`s own name. Personal checks, prepaid, recharge or virtual debit/credit cards/apple cards – or any card on which the relevant characters are not raised (‘embossed’) - are not accepted as a form of payment. Debit card use has a $24.95 debit card fee in order to accept it. It is the counter agents discretion to accept it or not based on the entire assesment of the renters qualifications.The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental: CREDIT CARD Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and Discover. NO DEBIT IS ACCEPTED. Cards MUST have main drivers name and numbers in order to be accepted.

- Late Pickup Fee
If you are more than 60 minutes late to pickup your vehicle, rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers. Please call the branch directly and inform them of your late arrival to make sure your reserved car awaits you.
- SHUTTLE
- A complimentary shuttle service is available for drop-off between 9:00am - 6:00pm.
- SMOKING
- Smoking is prohibited in all our vehicles. Penalty will be charged to the renter locally.
