- A vehicle that is returned after hours will not be checked out until the next business day. If returned after hours when a branch is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until satisfactory check-in of the rented vehicle on the next business day. You will be charged for an extra day if you return the vehicle after our closing time.
- AFTER HOURS
- The minimum age requirement to rent a vehicle with Carwiz is 21, there is a young driver surcharge for all customers renting a car 25 or under.

- BUSINESS HOURS
- Reservation MUST be cancelled through the original source minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to avoid and cancellation and / penalty. Should reservation fail to be cancelled within 24 hours, credit card will be charged $50USD.
- CANCELLATION
- Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Theft waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. You will remain responsible for any coverage excess as listed under Insurance or Damage Waiver. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel, Underage Drivers Fee, Additional Drivers Fee and special Equipment such as baby seats, any additional coverage or any other option.
In order to use the renter`s own insurance, he/she must provide proof of CDW coverage in his/her own name, issued by one of the following companies: State Farm,Liberty Mutual, Geico, Progressive, Infinity, USAA, Nationwide,e-surance, Farmers and we also accept insurance sold by brokers, credit cards companies and authorized official websites to sell Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance.
Insurance is accepted only if issued in the following country(ies): Worldwide with exceptation of Centro America and South America

- CLEANING
- You cannot cross borders with the rented vehicle.
- CROSS BORDER
- All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate.
- CURRENCY
- Cards must be in renter`s own name. Personal checks, prepaid, recharge or virtual debit/credit cards/apple cards – or any card on which the relevant characters are not raised (‘embossed’) - are not accepted as a form of payment. Debit card use has a $24.95 debit card fee in order to accept it. It is the counter agents discretion to accept it or not based on the entire assesment of the renters qualifications.
- DEBIT CARDS
- Deposits go from $500 USD to $3000 USD depending on the renters qualifications. (Insurance, credit card, age, lenght of rental, type of vehicle and more).
The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned from 2 to 20 business days.
If the Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter at the time of rental unless the Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged.
Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted.
All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be held against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card.
- DEPOSIT RULES
- All renters and additional drivers must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver`s license and a major credit card in their name. Driver`s licenses are accepted from any U.S. state or territory, from a Canadian province, or an international country. An International Driving Permit is required if the driving licence is printed with non-Roman Alphabet. Passport is required for international renters. Individuals with learner`s permits are not eligible to rent. Hotel reservation and/or Return flight may be required at the counter.
Photocopies of Driver’s Licenses are not accepted.
“Learner’s Permits” are not accepted.
Any license that, on its face, restricts the licensee to the use and operation of a vehicle equipped with a form of a breathalyzer apparatus is not accepted.
Temporary Driver’s Licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer’s identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional Government-issued identification may be required.

- EQUIPMENT
- Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as you received it with at the time of rental. If you do not, you will be charged a refueling fee of $15 USD per gallons the cost of the fuel.
- FUEL
- You cannot cross borders with the rented vehicle.
- GEOGRAPHIC
- In order to use the renter`s own insurance, he/she must provide proof of CDW coverage in his/her own name, issued by one of the following companies: State Farm,Liberty Mutual, Geico, Progressive, Infinity, USAA, Nationwide,e-surance, Farmers and we also accept insurance sold by brokers, credit cards companies and authorized official websites to sell Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance. (TPL) Third Party Liability Insurance is required, covers damage you cause to other vehicle or their property for $19.99 per day. CDW/LDW-Collision Damage Waiver also required unless renter can proof that he/she has CDW coverage. A $11.99 USD per day may be charged to use your own insurance in order for us to verify that coverage is in place. When renters waives the CDW charge, leaving the renter responsible for all damages to the rental vehicle. CDW/LDW is $18.99 USD per day. If the $18.99USD/day waiver excess is $2500USD, with $24.99/day the excess is $1500.00USD, with $29.99USD/day excess is $500.00USD and with $34.99USD the excess is $300.00USD. All options plus tax. The security Deposit goes from $500USD to $3000USD. You MUST provide a Police Report and Insurance Report in order for Insurance to cover any accident. Should you choose to rely on Credit Card coverage or coverage purchased on a website you MUST purchase Liability insurance at the counter you will be responsible for all damages or replacement of the vehicle prior to your departure. You can seek reimbursement from your provider upon return to your residence. This deposit is $3000USD and can be held up to 20 business days after the return of the vehicle with no damage.
- INSURANCE
- Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a non refundable deposit equivalant to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment.
- INTERNET RESERVATIONS
- f you are more than 60 minutes late to pick up your vehicle, the rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers.
- NO-SHOWS
- One way rentals from this location are not permitted.
- ONE-WAY
- Baby seat 10 USD Booster seats 5 USD are available upon request and will depend on availability. This are NOT guarranteed. GPS is not available. Request at the rental counter.
- OTHER
- In general, there is a 60-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. If you return the vehicle 60 minutes or more from the time it was rented on a later day, you will be charged an additional day`s rental.
- OVERSTAY
- The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental: CREDIT CARD Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and Discover. NO DEBIT IS ACCEPTED. Cards MUST have main drivers name and numbers in order to be accepted.
The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review and Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter.
At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions.
- PAYMENT

Do NOT cross the street; instead, head underneath the third bridge labeled "shuttle services." Typically, one of our staff members will be waiting with a sign displaying the CARWIZ logo. - PICKUP/DROP
- If you are more than 60 minutes late to pick up your vehicle, the rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers. Past that time you may be subject to availability in regards to vehicle category if any. If the category available is greater than the one you reserved, you will have to pay the upgrade fee if you wish to take the reservation. No refunds are guarranteed by HCH NC INV GROUP, you must contacted the third party website you used to book your rental.
- RESERVATION HOLD TIME
- All drivers must meet our minimum age requirements, present a valid photo drivers license and a major credit card in their own name. All location policies that apply to the renter will apply to the underage and/or additional driver. Minimum age is 21 years. Each additional driver will be charged an additional fee of $10.00 USD per day. All Drivers Licenses are accepted. Renters from outside countries of the USA; must a have a valid driver`s license issued from the country of origin; if the driver`s license is not in Roman Alphabet a valid international license is required.
