- Each additional driver will be charged an additional fee of 10 USD per day.
- ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
- A vehicle that is returned after hours will not be checked out until the next business day. If returned after hours when a branch is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until satisfactory check-in of the rented vehicle on the next business day.
- AFTER HOURS
- The minimum age requirement to rent a vehicle with Carwiz is 21, but there is a young driver surcharge for all customers renting a car under the age of 25. The maximum age limit is 99. There is overage driver fee for all customer renting a car over the age of 80.
- AGE
- Reservation MUST be cancelled through the original source minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to avoid and cancellation and / penalty. Should reservation fail to be cancelled within 24 hours, credit card will be charged $50USD.
- CANCELLATION
- Cards must be in renter`s own name. Personal checks, prepaid, recharge or virtual debit/credit cards – or any card on which the relevant characters are not raised (‘embossed’) - are not accepted as a form of payment.
- DEBIT CARDS
- To account for the Renter potentially incurring additional amounts owed under the Contract, renters will be required to provide a deposit of $1,500. The renter must use the above-listed form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned. If the Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter at the time of rental unless the Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged.
- DEPOSIT RULES
- All renters and additional drivers must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver`s license and a major credit card in their name. Driver`s licenses are accepted from any U.S. state or territory, from a Canadian province, or an international country. An International Driving Permit is required if the driving licence is printed with non-Roman Alphabet. Individuals with learner`s permits are not eligible to rent. Photocopies of Driver’s Licenses are not accepted.
Temporary Driver’s Licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer’s identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional Government-issued identification may be required.
- DRIVERS LICENSE
- Baby, toddler and child seats are available upon request for 6 USD per rental day. GPS is not available. Request at the rental counter.
- EQUIPMENT
- Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as you received it with at the time of rental. If you do not, you will be charged a refueling fee of 9 USD per gallons the cost of the fuel.
- FUEL
- Beach driving is prohibited.
- GEOGRAPHIC
- Third Party Coverage is included in the rate for international customers. The excess can be reduced to 500USD / 1000USD deductible if you purchase our COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER for 12.00USD per day. The deductible excess applies for damage to or theft of our vehicle. The excess increases to FULL DAMAGE AMOUNT in the case of negligence. If you choose not to purchase the CDW excess waiver a deposit of 1500USD will be required. CDW does not cover tires or glass and is not valid should the terms on the rental contract be violated.
- INSURANCE
- If you are more than 60 minutes late to pick up your vehicle, the rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers. Please contact the branch directly and inform them of your late arrival to make sure your reserved car awaits you.
- NO-SHOWS
- One way rentals from this location are not permitted.
- ONE-WAY
- CREDIT CARDS GUARANTEES At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation required a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at a minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to avoid and cancellation and/or penalty. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source. Should reservation fail to be cancelled within 24 hours, credit card will be charged 50USD.
INCUSIVE RATE PKG. Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Theft waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. You will remain responsible for any coverage excess as listed under Insurance or Damage Waiver. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel, Underage Drivers Fee, Additional Drivers Fee and special Equipment such as baby seats, any additional coverage or any other option.
AFTER YOUR RENTAL If you’ve incurred any charges, such as speeding tickets or unpaid congestion charges, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them who was driving. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.
LEGAL NOTICE Carwiz Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
- OTHER
- In general, there is a 60-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. If you return the vehicle 60 minutes or more from the time it was rented on a later day, you will be charged an additional day`s rental.
- OVERSTAY
- The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and Discover.
The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review and Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter.
At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Terms and Conditions. Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted. All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be held against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card.
